About
Jason Boyd is an artist working at the intersection of textile arts and woodworking, based in Burlington, Vermont. His practice explores transformation through reclaimed materials—woven fabric remnants, discarded clothing, and varied wood grains.
Each piece begins with materials that carry history. Worn fabrics, weathered wood, fragments of forgotten textiles—all are given new form through patient construction and careful attention to their inherent qualities.
The work is influenced by Vermont's craft traditions, the rhythms of making by hand, and a belief that materials can speak if we learn to listen. Rather than imposing form, the process becomes a dialogue between artist and material.
